Heart Health Nurse Jobs
THE ROLE:
You’ll be conducting Heart Health Screening Checks – on-the-spot measurements of a person’s blood pressure, total cholesterol and blood sugar levels, using the latest technology and equipment, to help fight heart disease.
- You MUST be confident and comfortable performing manual blood pressure checks.
- You’ll be fully trained before starting on the job.
- You’ll be conducting these checks in a mobile heart health testing unit working with another nurse in the testing unit.
ABOUT YOU: You’re an AIN, EN or RN1
You are an AIN / Nursing Student –
AIN1 – you are a 1st year Bachelor of Nursing student or 1st year Enrolled Nursing student. You have passed at least one clinical placement, and you are competent and confident in taking blood pressure manually.
AIN2 – you are a 2nd year Bachelor of Nursing student or 2nd year Enrolled Nursing student. You are in your second year of study and have passed at least two clinical placements, and you are competent and confident in taking blood pressure manually.
AIN3 – you are a 3rd year Bachelor of Nursing student. You are in your third year of study and have passed at several clinical placement, and you are competent and confident in taking blood pressure manually.
You are an Enrolled Nurse (EN):
You are an Enrolled Nurse of any year level. You are confident and competent in taking blood pressure manually using a stethoscope.
NURSING NEW GRADS | REGISTERED NURSE 1 (RN1):
You are a Registered Nurse Year 1 – you are in your first year since graduation ie: you have not yet completed 1786 hours of clinical nursing since graduating. You are confident and competent in taking blood pressure manually using a stethoscope.
ALL APPLICANTS:

You have a good knowledge of cardiovascular disease and cardiac risk factors, including cholesterol, diabetes, hypertension

You’re reliable, organised, a great communicator; friendly, personable and professional, and comfortable stepping into different settings.

You have your own reliable transport to get you to various sites.

You’ll have current First Aid. Manual Handling is a bonus.

You must have full, unrestricted Australian work rights

You can provide evidence of your work experience and you have a full and comprehensive resume that clearly details the months and years of your employment. Any career gaps must be accounted for in your resume.

If you are a student nurse, you can provide evidence of the most recent clinical placement that you have passed.
RATES
The casual hourly pay rate ranges listed below show from the lowest year level on a normal weekday shift through to highest year level on a Sunday shift
AINs ranges from $30.21 – $60.99 plus Super – dependent on year level
ENs range from $33.11 – $73.30 plus Super – dependent on year level
RN1 rates range from $38.51 – $67.39 plus Super.

You must be vaccinated for this role.

Typically 4-hour shifts.

Sunday 19 June – approx. 11:00 am – 4:00 pm – Sumner Park – Moreland City Council – NORTH MELBOURNE
Thursday 23 June – approx, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm (paid for 4 hours) – 142A Furlong Rd, Cairnlea 3023 – WEST MELBOURNE
Friday 24 June – approx. 7:00 pm- 10:00 pm (paid for 4 hours) – – Saltwater Reserve – Wyndham City Council – WEST MELBOURNE
Saturday 25 June – approx. 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm – City Vista Pavilion & Sports Field -Melton City Council – NORTH WEST MELBOURNE

Saturday 2 July – approx. 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm – Ballam Park – Frankston City Council – EAST MELBOURNE
Sunday 3 July – approx. 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm – Jack Edwards Reserve – Monash City Council – EAST MELBOURNE
TRAINING
You will need to complete 4 hours of online training by 16 June 2022.
Training is fully paid.
